It was very nice here. We liked it very much, it's just a shame that they will have to close again for about 4 weeks. But great atmosphere 🥰☺️😊☺️

Authentic medieval ambience and food. The choice of drinks and food is large and the prices reasonable. The food and drinks were delicious and very plentiful. Only with the potatoes with a cheese topping and herbal sour cream did this lead to the fact that it was quite "monotonous" when eating, in my opinion. The service was attentive and engaging. Sometimes so that we barely had time to look at the menu.

The Christoffel Inn is a little insider tip in Erfurt. I can recommend ... The ambience is rustic, cozy, knightly. The waiting time at lunchtime on a weekday was fine. We all enjoyed the food and the prices are also reasonable. The hygiene standards (AHA) have also been implemented to an adequate extent.

Food great! It would give it 5 stars! It is delivered quickly, waiter also comes regularly and is friendly. BUT! We were simply placed on the blackboard with strangers, distances could not be recognized at all in the entire room. The waiter was not wearing a mask, no contact details were recorded. I find that totally irresponsible and that's why I have to subtract so many stars. That's really a pity!

We were very surprised by the location. Because we were lucky to find a restaurant on Google. We would never have thought that we found the best restaurant we have ever eaten in. The meat was fantastic, the price unbeatable and the hospitality very, very friendly. We were only in Thuringia for the weekend and visited Erfurt in the evening, but it was worth it. And the restaurant is definitely worth a visit soon.

The food was really tasty and portion sizes were also very good for the price. 5/5 Corona measures are not implemented at all (contact details, masks, distance). Then you frown ... What a shame!

Good food and a large selection of diverse foods and drinks. Were there twice as part of our stay in Erfurt, the first around 6:30 p.m. We were seated at a table with several strangers - unfortunately we could hardly keep a distance - a shame. We had ordered the Christoffel platter for 2 people. This was brought to us quickly. Very tasty from totally sufficient. On the second day we were there around 4:30 p.m. and had a table to ourselves. We waited almost 20 minutes for the menu, after we had it we should order everything directly. The food was then 40 minutes in coming. All in all, it was a good place to eat because the food tastes good and is relatively cheap. One point deduction for the general conditions (space, distance, waiting time on day 2.) On the first evening a “traveling craftsman” came into the restaurant and asked every guest for money and would not leave if not every guest gave something. In my opinion, very inappropriate and totally uncomfortable, but started from the restaurant.

Food was delicious, large portions, very friendly staff. There should actually be 5 points for this. BUT: no implementation of hygiene measures. Guests sit back to back without any distance, contact data are not recorded, the staff does not wear masks, ventilation rather poor. Hence a clear point deduction.

Something completely different. Service very nice and chivalrous. The food is plentiful, fresh and well priced. A little noisy, but it fits into the whole atmosphere of the knights and bards. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Anyone who is in Erfurt can only recommend this restaurant. Historically prepared and very friendly staff. Please do not be alarmed in the old taverns everyone was addressed with DU Thanks for the good meal and the people of Leipzig wish you a full house.

A really great inn with nice and helpful staff. Large portions that taste really good and at really fair prices. The medieval interior alone is worth a visit. We will be back definitely. If you have the opportunity to stop by, take it in any case!

As a traveler from distant lands, I went to this wonderful vault on August 28, 2020 with my entourage. The beautifully furnished walls invited you to linger and the hunger for delicious food was more than satisfied here. Joking aside, the Cristoffel tavern stands out from the other restaurants with its medieval ambience. The interior is peppered with props from a knight's castle, instead of the menu you get "parchments" and the drinks are all served in jugs. The dishes are typical of the area and, above all, very good and very plentiful. The service was always friendly and the restaurant made a clean impression. We definitely enjoyed our visit here. When I am back in your lands, may I find a place in your vault!

I was here a few years ago, I am rarely in Erfurt. Because I liked it a lot back then, I came back today. And it was worth it! So delicious! Good hearty food at what I think is a cheap price. A dessert also had to be eaten, not because it wasn't enough, it was very plentiful, but because it tasted so good. The ambience is medieval and rustic, and the right music would have played, which would have made me linger over another cherry beer if I had still had time. The service is very courteous. Always an important criterion for me when I judge restaurants because you can read a lot about it: the toilets are squeaky clean. Ergo, absolute recommendation! I'll be back next time in Erfurt.

Food is plentiful. Price performance can be seen. Conditions quick, friendly and prudent .. I can only recommend it. To the whole team keep it up.

The staff was friendly and the food was great. I ordered a Grillhaxe and my wife a Rinderroulade. The portions are big but they tasted great. My only complain is the price of soft drinks (e.g. Coke, Fanta, etc) because they cost 4,30 Euros for a 500ml glass which is a bit pricey. Other than that, I recommend this place.

in germany you would say you got 'die qual der wahl', it's so hard to choose from the menu because everything sounds so awesome! the waiters are more than friendly and you just feel comfortable. the prices for the food are invincible, the beer is a little bit expensive but it's very delicious and overall it's pretty balanced. won't be our last time!

Exceptional ambience and very good cuisine! Rarely eaten so delicious. Meat was very good, but there are also many good vegetarian alternatives. The portions are huge, you have to be really hungry. The price-performance ratio is also unbeatable.

This medieval-style restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The ambience is coordinated down to the last small detail with a medieval atmosphere. During our two hour stay you could always discover something new. Rustic wooden chairs, wooden benches, wooden tables, all made to measure, the greeting and questions such as "may it be something to drink", the names of the dishes, which are also presented on a scroll. Everything is right. In addition, the price-performance ratio is simply amazing. You don't pay 10 euros for the dish shown. For 2 adults with a huge main course, large drinks (0.6l), wine, espresso, herbs afterwards we paid just under 45 euros. The portion sizes should bring even experienced eaters to the limit. The taste is very good. We are guaranteed to go there again. Thanks for the great hint. By the way: it is the oldest tavern in Erfurt.

We, a couple, had two evenings in the house. If we had stayed longer in Erfurt, we would go back. We really liked all four dishes and offerings, price-performance ratio is also very good. If you like historical buildings, you simply have to go there.

We arrived at 1100. No customers were there, but the restaurant said that we needed a reservation and would not let us in. The website says nothing about reservations.

Super cute restaurant, and the food was amazing! The kiddos had half a chicken each with fries, we had unlimited ribs and piglet in gravy with mashed potatoes, beer and 3 waters for 51€

Magnificent restaurant with medieval flair and food, not the cheapest but it is definitely worth a visit if you are visiting Erfurt.

Pleasent experience. Very tender meat, light but excellent marinade. Try the Met! It is for sure quite special. Thanks also to the very friendly stuff! You will see us again.

Great food

Service is not really fast not slowly. All of food what we order was delicious, beers are tasty! Inside the place was warm, that’s why I can’t suggest for summer times. Decorations are perfect, you can feel old times inside:)

Great medieval restaurant which catches the flair of the old times of Erfurt. Like expected from the middle age big hearty meals on big tables with closely seats. Also a great selection of vegetarian meals.

Even from outside restaurant looked appealing. So we went in. We didn't regret anything. The waitress we got was very friendly. We got grill meat turkey and the pork ribs. Most delicious turkey I ever had. The atmosphere is medieval and very friendly and super nice. I very recommend to try their honey beer. Blonde or dark doesn't matter. They accept the cards, speak English. There's nothing we can complain to and we're looking forward to return. I totally recommend!
